Course Details

You will delve into the basic principles of light and shadow and learn to identify different types of shadows. Through practical exercises, you'll discover how to create volume using light and shadow on simple objects, and study the effects of various light sources.

You will learn to work with the grisaille technique to create volume in your paintings. We'll explore how light and shadow can add depth, and you'll apply these techniques by painting a simple still life, as the old masters did.
